The scheme, Ambitious Essex, offers free mentoring, workshops, and webinars to businesses across the county. It replaces the former Backing Essex Business scheme, which closed on March 31.

Tristan Smith, head of business growth and inward investment at Essex Growth Agency, said: "We are bringing business support together under Ambitious Essex. "This creates a clearer offer for local businesses. "Companies can still access free expert guidance and practical advice. "Support is now delivered in a more connected way, making it easier to get the right help at the right time.

"This marks the next chapter in how Essex Growth Agency supports local enterprise." Backing Essex Business ran from July 2024 to March 2026 and created 630 jobs as a direct result, safeguarded 570 jobs, and provided hundreds of hours of business advice.
