This is your chance to connect with thought leaders and likeminded business owners and residents of Essex, passionate about the life and future of our rural economy – and communities.
Topics will include lived experiences showcasing the latest ways in which landowners, producers or local businesses in rural areas are diversifying to find new pathways to success and sustainability.
We’ll also be joined by keynote speakers:
• Mike Holland, Director of Holland Land & Property Ltd who will deliver an overview of the rural landscape in Essex and the many opportunities available in the sector
• Professor Klaus McDonald-Maier, Co-founder and CEO from Versatile Robotx, discussing innovation within the rural and agricultural sectors and showcasing his world-leading fruit-picking robot prototype, poised to change the game in the industry
• Dale Symons, Partner/Owner from Clayhill Vineyards, who will provide an insightful case study of diversification and his business’ story of resilience and growth
• Councillor Louise McKinlay and Councillor Mark Durham, highlighting Essex County Council’s role to play in both supporting and enhancing the rural sector within Essex, and support available to businesses
