Pilot Projects (PP) introduce new initiatives that might turn into standing EU funding programmes. A Pilot Project is an initiative of an experimental nature designed to test the feasibility of an action and its usefulness and lasts not more than two years. This Pilot Project, 'Environmental Monitoring of Pesticide Use Through Honeybees' seeks to develop a non-invasive environmental monitoring system via the collection of biweekly pollen samples during two beekeeping seasons by beekeepers from several countries in Europe.
