European Commission Announces Horizon Europe Research and Innovation Programme

Carlos Moedas, European Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation has announced that the ninth European framework programme for research and innovation will be called Horizon Europe. The successor to Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe will build on the success of the EU's past flagship research and innovation programmes. The European Commission proposes to increase investment in research and innovation by allocating €97.9 billion from the future long-term EU budget for 2021-2027.
