Launch of £1m Maritime Accessibility Fund for Isle of Wight and Isles of Scilly

The Department for Transport is inviting bids from port service providers for grants to boost accessibility for ferries to the Isle of Wight and the Isles of Scilly.
Through the Maritime Accessibility Fund, port operators can apply for funding to improve accessibility for disabled and reduced mobility passengers on ferries to the Isle of Wight and the Isles of Scilly. These islands rely on ferries to connect around 140,000 residents to the mainland to access services, employment, tourism and leisure activities.
