Proposals Invited for Energy Research to Support Northern Ireland's Net Zero Goals

The Northern Ireland Department for the Economy (DfE) is inviting proposals for research projects that address the research needs and build the evidence base to deliver the DfE's 2021 Energy Strategy: 'The Path to Net Zero Energy'. One of the commitment statements within the Energy Strategy is to 'produce a comprehensive energy evidence programme to inform policy decisions', while the department's commitment to establishing a robust evidence base was set out in the July 2024 DfE Research Programme 2024-27.
