Government Announces £6m Fund to Build Stronger Communities through English Language Learning

A new programme is open for applications from local authorities, charities and private language providers in England to run programmes which offer creative ways of teaching English to non-native speakers, in order to increase integration.
The Integrated Communities English Language Programme, due to commence in April 2019, aims to tackle a lack of English language skills, which has been identified by the government as one of the key causes of poor integration.
