Scottish Government Announces £10m Saltire Tidal Energy Challenge Fund

A new fund to support the commercial deployment of tidal energy technology in Scottish waters is being launched.
The Saltire Tidal Energy Challenge Fund has been established to encourage the commercialisation of wave and tidal projects, many of which are currently based in the Scottish Highlands and Islands. The programme follows the original £10 million Saltire Prize for wave and tidal, which launched in 2008 and ended in 2017 without a successful claim.
