Welsh Government Launches New Woodland Creation Planning Scheme

Farmers and landowners in Wales can apply for grants to develop their woodland creation plans.

As part of its plan to tackle the climate emergency, the Welsh Government aims to plant 43,000 hectares of new woodland by 2030. To help achieve this, the Welsh Government is introducing a new woodland creation offer to replace the Glastir Woodland Creation scheme. The new Woodland Creation Planning scheme will build on the Glastir scheme, but with a number of improvements to make it easier to interact with.
