Amazon offers an ideal route to market for businesses looking to export across the world, particularly for first-time exporters or occasional exporters. Companies of all sizes can trade via Amazon with no upfront costs, and if needed, Amazon can store, pack and deliver products to customers, as well as provide customer service and handle returns. The United States (US) is Amazon's largest market and now accounts for almost 50% of all e-commerce sales in the US.

During this interactive half-day workshop brought to you by Will Klein from Trust Digital Agency, in partnership with Skills Support for the Workforce and the Department for International Trade (DIT), we will look at how to grow your business using Amazon as an e-commerce platform, how to make the most of their services and look at the common issues and how to overcome them.

In this half-day workshop, we will cover:

  • How to develop your online sales through Amazon
  • VAT requirements when selling via Amazon
  • How to manage stock levels, including over stock
  • Amazon promotions and other discounting tools
  • Logistic options available with Amazon, including Amazon consignee options, tracked shipping and the Prime promise
  • Tools for multi-listing and marketplace integrators
  • Using translations to reach your market, through Amazon or a third party.
  • Commission and how much it will cost your business

After this workshop you will be able to:

  • Confidently set up your Amazon store and monitor your stock
  • Understand commission and how much it will cost
  • Meet customer expectations on delivery
  • Understand seller scores and rankings
  • Know how to reach customers with promotions and keywords
  • Use translation tools to reach a wider international market
  • Use Amazon stats to track your sales and review your progress

Eligibility

This event is only available to SME companies (including sole traders) based in the Humber. All delegates must be aged 19+. Registration is required in advance and delegates will receive a verification phone call from HCUK Training prior to the event.
