This is a full day workshop to support individual understanding of the GDPR. This is a workshop designed to raise a wider awareness of the obligations under GDPR and Data Protection Law for those working within the Privacy Framework. It will be delivered at the premises of Craven Park Enterprise Centre, Hull by Gary Payne from GPP-Digi Ltd.

GDPR Essentials Workshop

Target Audience:

  • ENRG2 registered clients
  • New clients need to register (by registering with this event you are agreeing to be contacted by the ENRG team)

Aim:

  • To help you understand Data Protection Law and the EU GDPR
  • To outline the obligations that the regulations impose on organisations and individuals
  • To understand the rights of Data Subjects

Content:

  • The 6 Principles and their meaning plus identifying the implications of these Principles on organisations
  • The purpose of the Data Protection Law and the GDPR
  • The scope of GDPR
  • The requirements and obligations imposed on organisations
  • The rights of Data Subjects
  • An outline of the roles and responsibilities of those involved in the Privacy Framework
  • To identify the role of the Supervisory Authority and the options & penalties open to them

And briefly touch upon:

  • The obligations for International Data transfers
  • GDPR, Law Enforcement and National Security

Requisites to attending this course and delivery method

Registration starts at 8:30 am for both registered ENRG clients and new clients.

The course is delivered face-to-face as a group. It will be interactive involving group and individual exercises, visual aids, case studies and group discussion.

Handouts will be provided, and digital files can also be facilitated after the workshop upon request.
